The best months to visit Jávea are June and September: warm sea, long days and far fewer people than in August. July and August are high season, with peak prices, busy beaches and bookings made months ahead. From October to May Jávea is quiet — ideal for hiking, cycling and long stays.
Spring (March to May)
Mild temperatures, green countryside and almost nobody in the coves. The sea is still fresh for long swims, but this is the best season for the Montgó, cycling and discovering the town slowly.
Easter is the exception: occupancy rises and it pays to book earlier.
June and September: the sweet spot
If you can choose, choose these two months. The water is already — or still — warm, days are long, restaurants are open and the coves are enjoyable without queues of cars. September usually has the warmest sea of the year.
Accommodation prices are clearly lower than in August and there is far more availability of villas with a pool.
July and August: real high season
This is when Jávea's population multiplies. There is atmosphere, fiestas, full terraces and everything open — but also strong heat, difficult parking at the coves and peak prices.
If you travel then: book months ahead, plan coves for first thing in the morning, and assume Granadella will mean an early start.

Autumn and winter (October to February)
October keeps sea days with fewer people. From November onwards Jávea goes quiet: this is the season for long stays, remote work with a view and hiking at its best.
Some beachfront businesses close or cut hours, but the old town and the port stay alive all year.
Fiestas and key dates
Jávea's festival calendar concentrates its big moments in summer, with the Virgen de Loreto fiestas at the port and Moros y Cristianos and Sant Joan as landmarks. They are beautiful dates and also the busiest of the year.
